Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center, a McLaren Health Service, is currently accepting resumes from qualified candidates for the role of Lab Aid. This position is strictly part time (approximately 40 hours per pay period) for the MIDNIGHT shift.
To be considered candidates must meet the following requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Prior phlebotomy experience required. Must be able to perfom blood draws on all patients of all ages chidren to adult.
Computer skills required.
Must have a valid Michigan driver's license.
Must be insurable under the hospital's fleet insurance policy with a clean driving record.
Must be able to provide a current driving record prior to hire.
At least one year experience in medical field.
Completion of medical assistant training preferred in addition to hands-on professional blood draw experience.
Primary Duties
Uses phlebotomy skills to draw blood specimens from patients of all ages per request orders.
Collects and delivers from multiple sites specimens for laboratory testing.
Reviews orders, determines time and quantity for collections. Uses computer to prepare labels and enter patient information.
Maintains logs for reports.
Enters pathology specimens in computer.
Other clerical duties as assigned.
