Expert at healing chronic, non-healing wounds
Some wounds seem immune to healing. That’s where McLaren Greater Lansing Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center comes in with diagnostic and treatment plans individually tailored to each patient. The Center is designed to treat chronic, non-healing wounds as a result of:
- Diabetes
- Vempis Omsiffocoemcu
- Arterial disease where blood flow to tissues is minimal
- Trauma to the skin and underlying tissues
- Pressure ulcers
- Any wound that is resistant to healing

The McLaren Greater Lansing Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center opened May 15, 2002. Since that time, we have healed over 5,000 wounds. Patients are usually referred to the McLaren Greater Lansing Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center by their physician. Some patients can self-refer, based on insurance. Patients are seen weekly until the wound is healed.
As part of our commitment to serving the needs of our patients, McLaren Greater Lansing now offers the area's first hyperbaric oxygent treatment facility to aide healing in selected problem wounds. We have also added the only transcutaneous oxygen measurement monitor in the area to measure oxygen levels in the skin around wounds to help predict the liklihood of healing
McLaren Greater Lansing Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center's healing physicians specialize in aggressive wound management. A multidisciplinary physician team along with certified wound care nurses and certified hyperbaric nurses and technicians, work together for accelerated treatment in an outpatient setting. Once a patient’s wound is completely healed, their family physician receives a report on the patient’s treatment program and recommended ongoing therapies.
